Villa. c1850 with later alterations. Pinkish-brown brick with
scored and painted stucco to front facade and Welsh slate
roof. Central hallway plan.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Plinth, quoins. 2 roll-edged
steps to central entrance a part-panelled, part-glazed door
with cambered overlight in vermiculated Gibbs surround.
Windows have 1/1 sashes with margin-lights in plain reveals,
with sills and tooled surrounds throughout, larger to ground
floor, those to first floor with horns. First-floor continuous
moulded sill band. Wide eaves, modillion cornice, hipped roof,
end and rear stacks.
INTERIOR: shutters to some rooms; moulded cornices.
Forms an architectural group of villas with Nos 12 and 16-26
(even) Avenue Road (qqv).
