Terrace of five houses, now shop with flat (No.5), flats and house (No.11) with shop to left, and attached railings to Nos 7 & 13. circa 1815 with building to left of circa 1825 and later alterations including mid-late C20 ground floor shop front to No.5 and to No.2 Church Terrace (not included in the listing). Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco to front facade, Welsh slate roofs and cast-iron railings.

PLAN: double-depth with side entrances.

EXTERIOR: main range of three storeys with attics, basements except to No.5, 10 first-floor windows, two to each house with two-storey, single bay to left. Main range: first floor, from left: two 6/6 sashes, two tall 6/9 sashes, two 6/6 sashes, four tall 6/9 sashes. Second floor: 3/6 sashes throughout, all windows in plain reveals and with sills. Ground floor: except to No.5, entrances to right sides (from left): four steps (roll-edged to No.7) to part-glazed door, four panel door, three panel door and four panel door, all with overlights, with decorative glazing to No.11, all with plain reveals and doorcases with panelled pilasters and hoods. Bay windows to Nos 7 & 11, that to No.7 has 2/2 sash to centre between 1/1 sashes; No.11 has 1/1 sashes. No.13 has casements with Gothick glazing, otherwise with 6/6 sashes, plain reveals and sills. Basements (from left) have two C20 casements, 4/8 sash, twenty-one pane sliding sash. Frieze, cornice, low parapet, mid-C20 roof dormers to Nos 7 & 11, otherwise skylights. Ridge stacks, raised gables and ridges have coping stones to front. First-floor balconies to Nos 7, 11 and 13, with anthemion-within-circle motif balustrade to Nos 7 and 11, and elongated figure of eight to No.13, all on decorative brackets.

The terrace is attached at its northern end to Nos. 2-2A Church Terrace (not included as part of this listing).

INTERIOR: not inspected.

SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Nos 7 & 13 have lancet area railings with gates.

HISTORICAL NOTE: Church Street was laid out circa 1815 and built upon by circa 1825. Forms an architectural group with No.3 Church Street (qv). No.5 added 18.8.1980.
