Includes: No.19 LANSDOWNE CIRCUS.
Villa, now 2 dwellings. c1838 with later additions and
alterations. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco front
facade and Welsh slate roof. By William Thomas. Central
hallway plan with range to rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Outer canted bays
to full height. Plinth. Moulded first-floor band has central
engaged balustrade, with fielded panels below windows.
First floor: central 1/1 sash, between bays with 1/1 sashes
with margin-lights to centres and upper-lights to sides, all
in tooled reveals. Ground floor: central entrance a 4-panel
door between sidelights, with overlight with sidelights. Porch
has pilasters and cornice on corbels.
Windows: bays have 1/1 sashes with margin-lights to centres
and upper-lights to sides, in tooled reveals and with tooled
continuous sills. Modillion cornice. Fish-scale roof. Tall end
stacks with cornices, rear stacks.
Left return: entrance to No.19 Lansdowne Circus: flight of
steps to part-glazed, 4-panel door, in round-arched reveals,
with pilastered surround. Two 1/1 sashes with margin-lights
and a 2/2 sash.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms a pair with No.83 Holly Walk (Upper) (qv), and the pair
form a group with Nos 79 and 81, and No.87 Holly Walk (Upper)
(qqv).
