Terrace of 4 houses and attached railings to Nos 13 and 15.
c1834-8 with later additions and alterations. Pinkish-brown
brick with painted stucco facades and Welsh slate roofs with
tall, stuccoed end and centre ridge stacks with cornices to
main range; cast-iron verandahs, balcony, porch and railings.
PLAN: double-depth, rear entrances to end houses, otherwise
side entrances.
EXTERIOR: symmetrical facade, the centre of 3 storeys, 4
first-floor windows and end ranges each of 2 storeys, 2
first-floor windows (8 first-floor windows in all), all with
basements and attic dormers, further single-storey, single-bay
extensions to left and right.
Crowning frieze, cornice and low, coped parapet. First floor:
(from left) two 8/8 sashes, four tall 6/9 sashes and two 8/8
sashes, all in plain reveals and with tooled architraves,
sills.
Second floor (centre range): two casement windows and two 3/6
sashes, all in plain reveals with sills and tooled surrounds.
Ground floor, windows: two 6-pane French windows with divided
overlights in tooled surrounds; two central tripartite windows
with 2/2 between 1/1 sashes in plain reveals and with tooled
surrounds with sills and blind boxes.
Left extension has C20 sliding doors, right extension has 8/8
sash.
Basements have 8/8 sashes where original. Attic dormers have
casement windows. End entrances to Nos 13 and 14: part-glazed,
4-panel doors with fanlights with radial glazing-bars in
round-arched, panelled reveals.
To rear the basement gives access to street level; entrances
to Nos 12 & 15: 6-panel door in panelled surround with
cornice.
Further entrances to Nos 13 & 14 at ground-floor level:
flights of steps to part-glazed doors, that to No.13 has porch
with diamond and oval motif to uprights.

Basements have (from left) tripartite window with 6/6 between
2/2 sashes; 8/8 sashes; tripartite window with 6/6 between 2/2
sashes.
Ground floor: similar, larger tripartite window with 6/6
between 2/2 sashes, then 6/6 sashes, all in plain reveals and
with sills. First floor has 6/6 and 8/8 sashes; second floor
has 3/6 sashes. Windows to No.13 have blind boxes.
To front facade, ground floor: Nos 12 & 15 each have
continuous balcony with double-rod-and-anthemion motif
balustrade; To No.14 at first floor a continuous balcony with
Carron Company double-heart-and-anthemion motif balustrade.
INTERIOR: retain original plasterwork and joinery, including
to No.14 a dogleg staircase with stick balusters and wreathed
handrail, shutters. Otherwise not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to No.13 have fleur-de-lys
finials, those to No.15 have sword-hilt finials.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Milverton Crescent was laid out and the south
half built 1834-8.
Forms an architectural group with Nos 16 and 17 Milverton
Crescent (qqv) and Milverton House, No.11 Beauchamp Hill (qv).
Milverton Crescent allows pedestrian access only, the main
access is now to the rear from Strathearn Road.
