House, now shop and offices. Early C19 with later additions
and alterations including mid-late C20 ground floor and shop
front. Dark grey brick stack, with painted stucco facade and
Welsh slate roof.
3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. First floor has tall 6/6
sashes with moulded architraves and cornice on corbels. Second
floor has 3/3 sashes with moulded surrounds and sills.
Replacement modillion cornice. Ground floor has horizontal
rustication to ends and door post, otherwise glazed entrance
and shop front. Right end stack. Continuous first-floor
balcony with ornate balustrade.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: the Parade was so named in 1860. Originally
Lillington Lane, it was re-named Union Row c1809 and then
Union Parade by 1814. The lower section of the road was laid
out and built c 1810-1818, whilst the upper section, east side
was built 1824-1840.
