House, now shop. c1814-1836 with later additions and
alterations including late-C20 shop front. Pinkish-brown brick
with stucco facade, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron balcony.
3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. First floor has tall 6/9
sashes, second floor has 3/3 sashes, all with flat rusticated
arches and raised keystones, those to second floor with sills.
Ground floor has glazed shop front. End stack.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Regent Street, originally known as Cross
Street, was laid out c1808-1814. The first houses built in a
terrace development date from 1814. Nos 71 and 73 Parade and
Nos 87-93 (odd) Regent Street (qqv) constitute a group.
