SS91SW Lower Brook Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably C16. Rendered cob and rubble; dry slate
roof with projecting eaves replacing original thatch; brick
end stacks and brick shaft on large lateral stack to front.
Probable 3-room and cross passage plan, the lower end on the
right rebuilt in stone probably in the C19.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 5-window range. C19 iron casement windows
with small panes, mostly in wide openings; old leaded casement
to 1st floor far right. Doorway, right of lateral stack, has
old planked door under open lean-to porch.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
