GV II

House, screen, gate and gate piers. Late C18. Red brick in
Flemish bond, with hipped slate roof with lead dressings and
wall stacks, pantile roof to lower wing. Stucco bands between
storeys. Cast-iron.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3-bay front with centre bay slightly
advanced, to right a later 2-storey single bay. Central
8-panel door with reeded architrave, panelled ingoes.
Fanlight, recessed under semi-circular brick arched opening.
Flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To 1st floor a pair of
French doors with fanlight in semi-circular recess is flanked
by single glazing bar sashes. To 2nd floor 3 smaller glazing
bar sashes. All the sash windows have flat rubbed brick arches
and keystone.
To the right lower extension a plain sash is flanked by single
planked doors. Above is a canted oriel bay window with plain
sashes and flat roof. To the central front door a decorative
cast-iron porch with flanking railings supports a 1st floor
balcony.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to the front garden is a low cast-iron
screen with gates and piers, all in an ogee design.
