1867/1872. The spire an addition of 1881/82. Architect Sir George
Gilbert Scott. A large church in ornate Second Pointed style, stone
rubble with ashlar dressings. Dominating North East steeple, one of
the most prominent features in any view of Ryde from the sea. Six
bay pointed arcades with naturalistic capitals. The chancel walls
painted by Clayton and Bell. The apsed vestry added by C Pemberton
Leach in 1891. Ornate alabaster font. Alabaster and marble pulpit
circa 1870 by Scott.
