II
House, circa early C19 with mid C19 wing to left and service wing in double span to
rear, also circa mid-C19. Rubble serpentine with dressed granite quoins and
voussoirs to segmental arches over windows. Main part with half-hipped slate roof
and rendered brick chimneys in hipped ends. Flanking wings with hipped slate roof
at ends. 3-storey and attic, symmetrical centre portion with 4-window front. Four
12-pane sashes (without horns) on ground and first floor with four 9-pane sashes
(without horns) on second floor. Central dormer with half-round iron lattice
balcony. Open lattice work balcony on first floor. Flanked by two 2-storey wings.
Right-hand wing, 3-window front. Main entrance door on left with double C19
panelled door with fanlight above. Later ashlar faced porch with flat roof and
double C20 timber door. Two 12-pane sashes (without horns) to right with three 9-
pane sashes (without horns) above. Left-hand wing with canted end. 12-pane sashes
(with horns) on ground and first floor on each face. Rusticated granite parapets
to each wing. Slate hung projection at rear with bowed staircase projection. Tall
slightly bowed sash with rounded-head and radiating glazing bars. Geometric
staircase with straight balustrade and wreathed handrail. Interior not inspected.
Possibly with internal features of period.
