Pair of houses. Numbered right to left, described left to
right. c1834-8. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco front
facades, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron railings and
balconies.
3 storeys with basements, 4 first-floor windows arranged 2:2.
First floor has 10-pane French windows with divided
overlights; second floor has 3/6 sashes with sills, all in
plain reveals. Frieze, cornice, blocking course.
Ground floor: 5 roll-edged steps to left side entrances,
panelled doors with overlights. 6/6 sashes in plain reveals
and with sills.
Basement: 3/6 and 4/8 sash, part-glazed doors. Long ridge
stacks with cornices. Continuous first-floor balconies to each
house with double-heart-and-anthemion motif.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to sides of steps and to right side are
railings with open-lozenge finials.
