House. c1834-8 with later additions and alterations including
extension to rear. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco to
front and right facades, Welsh slate roof, with lead roofs to
verandahs.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. First floor, continuous sill
band, 1/1 sashes with margin-lights in moulded, eared
surrounds, with blind boxes. Ground floor: plinth, horizontal
rustication. 3 steps to central entrance a part-glazed,
6-panel door between pilaster strips and side-lights with
glazing bars, all under fanlight. Solid porch with Tuscan
pilasters, round-arched opening with keystone, frieze,
cornice. Tall 2/2 sashes with margin-lights each with
individual verandah with round-arched balustrade, octagonal
posts and pierced frieze. End and rear roof stacks, the latter
with cornice. To right return, ground floor has 2/2 sash with
margin-lights; first floor has 6/6 sash.
INTERIOR: shutters to ground-floor windows; dogleg staircase
has stick balusters and wreathed handrail.
