Marble and slate wall monument in the shape of an open book above a tomb chest. The crest at the top has lost most if its marble inlay -Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord (Revelation 14.13)- and Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord (Psalm 160.6)-. -In the adjoining churchyard repose the remains of the Reverend John Noble vicar of this Parish 43 years whose tranquil and happy death resulted from the sound Christian faith and practice which had eminently distinguished his life. He died on the18th of August 1840 in the 81st year of his age. In the same vault are deposited the mortal remains of Sarah his wife who died on the 22nd of January 1843. Signed by Johnson of Melton.
