South transept aisle, the organ chamber, stained glass window with a bronze plaque below, inscribed: Erected by the ( ) and the Village School Fellows and friends in affectionate remembrance of Richard Clarke Black Killed October 26th 1877 Aetat 23. Even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him (1 Thessalonians 4.14). The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord (Job 1.21). (Photo Aug 2015).
