Mid C18 3 storey and attic house, altered. Built of brick with occasional header
courses, Nos 3 and 5 rendered. Double roman tile roof with 1 dormer [No 3] 1/2 hip
to right and very large brick ridge chimney right of centre. 3 ranges of irregularly
spaced windows, some in altered positions. No 3 has plate glass sash window to
2nd floor and modern 3 light casement to 1st floor. Nos 4 and 5 have glazing bars
to windows, No 4 with single hung sash 1st floor. Undistinguished ground floor
shop fronts. Gable lit attic to left. Low pantiled lean-to extensions to rear.
Nos 2 to 7 and 11 to 13 (consec) Church Walk, together with St James's Parish Church
the listed tombs, the Old Vestry Rooms and Nos 46 to 48 (consec) Fore Street form
a group. Nos 2 and 7 Church Walk are of local interest.
