Milestone. 1755-56 (Malmesbury Turnpike) with late C19 mile plate. Limestone post triangular in plan with double-cambered top, sunk almost below ground level. Cast iron plate on north face: 'SWINDON/11/MILES/MALMESB.Y/5/MILES'.
