Manor House Hotel

GV II

Garden seat, mid C19, stone replica of C15 bellcote to east side
of Italian Garden (q.v.). Octagonal with 4 plain piers shouldered
to carry octagonal spire with finial. 2 openings to rear part
blocked for stone seat. A garden ornament introduced by G.P.
Scrope to balance the bellcote from St. Peter's Church, Biddestone
(q.v.) in formal garden composition.
