7/12 Shepherds Hey and Glencote

GV II

Two cottages. Late C18. That to left is squared, coursed limestone with coped
gable; that to right is brick, in Flemish bond. Stone slate roofs with ashlar
end stack to left, and ridge stack to right. One storey plus attic; 3-window
range. 2- and 3-unit plan. Stone cottage to left has C20 door in left gable end
and two C20 casements to front. C20 dormers. Brick cottage to right has plank
stable door to centre, with gabled hood. To left and right a C20 window in
original opening with segmental head. Further 2-light casement to left with
segmental head. 2 large gabled dormers with C20 casements. Interiors not
inspected. Included for group value.
