Pair of late C18 houses. 3 storeys. Slate roofs with hip at Northern
end of No 39. Slightly higher frontage than No 38 but recessed some
feet behind. Small brick dentilled eaves cornice. Red brick and grey
headers alternately. 2 small windows each on 2nd floor (sash windows
with flush boxes; some glazing bars missing). 1 large sash window
each on 1st floor; flush boxes; rubbed brick voussiors; no glazing
bars. Modern shop fronts on ground floor.

Nos 36 to 42 (consec) form a group.
