Pair of late C18 houses. Three storeys. Slate roofs with hip at Northern end of No 39. Slightly higher frontage than No 38 but recessed some feet behind. Small brick dentilled eaves cornice. Red brick and grey headers alternately. Two small windows each on second floor (sash windows with flush boxes; some glazing bars missing). One large sash window each on first floor; flush boxes; rubbed brick voussoirs; no glazing bars. Modern shop fronts on ground floor.

Nos 36 to 42 (consec) form a group.
