FRIARY LANE 1. 972 Nos 1 & 2 SU 8604 NW 4/514 II 2. C18-early C19. Tiled roof with 2 hips. Small central brick stack in front and 1 behind; tall narrow stack at southern end. 2 storeys. Red brick. No 1 recently refaced. No 2: small brick dentilled eaves cornice. No 2 has 1 sash window with square head in shallow reveals both above and below; glazing bars intact. Rubbed brick voussoirs to ground floor window; both windows with modern shutters. In No 1, a modern sash window both above and below, lower 1 with glazing bars intact. Doorways with semi-circular arches; painted brick voussoirs. Doors in reveals; semi-circular fanlight with tracery above each door. No 1 has door with 6 raised and fielded panels; No 2 has door with 6 moulded panels.
