6.10.89 Bocketts Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. c.1800. Red brick, red tile roof. Rectangular double-depth plan, plus
an added lean-to at each end. Two storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical; the south
front has a central doorway with a small pitched canopy, 2 segmental-headed 3-
light casements on each floor and a blind window over the door, brick dentilled
eaves, and a rectangular hipped roof with 2 side-wall chimneys at the west end
and one at the east end; the rear is the same except that the window over the
is glazed. At each end is an added lean-to, that at the west end constructed
mostly of flint with a weatherboarded addition to the front, and the other
weather-boarded. Included for group value with the agricultural buildings on this
site.
