staddles, red tile roof. Rectangular single-cell plan, at right-angles to the barn
behind it. Single storey, raised on staddles; the entrance front in the north-east
side has a board door offset slightly to the right (approached by wooden steps),
2 small rectangular ventilating windows under the eaves with internal shutters;
and a hipped roof. The right-hand end (towards the house) has an 8-pane fixed
window (perhaps replacing a former doorway); the rear has ventilating windows
like those at the front. Interior: machine-sawn timber frame; hand-made hinges
to the window shutters. This item forms a close functional group with the barn
behind it (item 3/141 above).
