GV II

Formerly a large mansion, later a Convent, now part of the American School in
Switzerland (TASIS). Early C19. Yellow brick walls with hipped slate roofs,
numerous chimneys. Three storeys. Garden elevation (south): Ground floor
centre three, 12-pane sash windows. First floor three similar windows with
three 6-pane sashes on second floor. Plain pediment and parapet with stone
coping only at roof level. On each side is a two storey splay sided bay with
sash windows in splays and French windows in front at ground level with parapet
and coping. Large extensions to the east of two and three storeys in similar
style and materials. West elevation three storey with parapet. Similar two
storey bay window on left. Three bays to right consisting of: Ground floor one
window two recesses, first floor, two windows one recess. Second floor, one
window one recess. On end of bay a porch of two Tuscan columns, flat
entablature with triglyphs, single glazed door. Corridor link to chapel.
