Milepost. Probably mid-to-late C19. Cast iron with black painted
base and raised lettering. Triangular in section with chamfered top,
sloping to front. Lettered "STABLEFORD" on top; "PIPEGATE 5/WOORE 6 ½")/
NANTWICH 14 ½" on left; "STONE 7" on right.
