4/374 Gatehouse to No 77

GV II

Gatehouse to No 77 (qv) c1834 for James Taylor. Brick painted white, with stone
dome. Circular on plan, having three pointed-arched openings: that on left the
entrance from road, up a step, with cast-iron gates, the bars with anow-finials;
that on right with similar cast-iron railings on stone base; that to rear,
giving on to garden, open. Cornice below dome which has ball-on-cushion
finial.
