Farmhouse. Mid C16 with later additions and alterations, notably early C17
wing to left hand side: this wing is narrower than the main range and is set
slightly forward of it. Timber framed and plastered, plaintiled roof. 2
storeys with an attic to the main range. Various mostly mid C20 large pane
casement windows; boarded door to main range, half-glazed door to left hand
section; one gabled dormer. Internal stack to main range: the lower part is
original and has an inset rectangular panel; the 3 detached flues with moulded
brick enrichment were built in 1982 on the bases of the originals. The left
hand section has a fine external stack with diapering in dark headers; there
are 2 detached octagonal flues with moulded brick enrichment and linked star
caps. Interior with good exposed timbering; several blocked mullion windows;
first floor brick fireplace with depressed 4-centre arch; original newel attic
stairs. Under renovation at time of survey.
