Cottage set sideways-on to the Green. Late C16 One-and-a-half storeys.
Timber-framed and rendered, with panels of old comb-pargetting. Thatched
roof. 2 end chimney-stacks, set externally, with stepped sides. Both
incorporate some Tudor brick, but the stack on the north end is larger and
older than the other. 2 3-light casement windows with 2 horizontal bars to
lights, and 2 small 2-light casements. One large mid-C20 eyebrow dormer. A
lean-to, in 2 sections, along rear wall. 2-cell division inside. Little
framing visible, but one tie-beam has been cut and another replaced. Several
apparently smoke-blackened rafters exposed, but no other evidence for an open
hall. The cottage was at one time divided into 2.
