A Grade I Listed Building in Rushbrooke with Rougham, Suffolk

  • St Mary: mainly c14-c15; late c15 five-stage Perpendicular tower with step-embattled parapet

  • St Mary: view from south-east; untraceried Perpendicular aisle windows; c14 south porch with three light side openings

  • St Mary: frieze at top of tower; inscription reads pray for ye sowle of John Tillot

  • St Mary: c14 Decorated arcades, five light east window with reticulated tracery; benches with poppy heads, 1500-1535

  • St Mary: single hammerbeam nave roof with arched braces; headless angels holding symbolic objects (crown & book)

  • St Mary: Sir Roger Drury, d.1410, & wife Margery (Naunton), 1405; knight in full armour & lady in kirtle & mantle

  • St Mary: inscription from the Drury brass, 1405
