Barn 40m north of Turner's Farmhouse

Barn. C17. Timber framed and weatherboarded; roof clad in corrugated iron
sheeting. 3 bays, with a central gabled porch to the south. Intact oak frame
with a middle rail to the gable ends; both open trusses retain their original
arched braces. The roof has a lower row of butt purlins and an upper row of
purlins clasping diminished principal rafters; arched wind-bracing between the
purlins. Both open trusses have struts from tie beam to principal rafter:
these are original. Later pantiled lean-to additions to south.
