GV II

House. Early C19. White brick and slates. 2 storeys. Hipped, shallow-
pitched roof with wide eaves overhang. 4 internal chimney-stacks with high
narrow rectangular shafts surmounted by chimney-posts. 3 windows to upper
floor: long narrow small-paned sashes in deep reveals with flat gauged arches;
on the ground floor the individual panes are larger and the windows descend to
ground level. Roman Doric tetrastyle portico. 6-panelled door with 2 leaves.
On the south (garden) front a semi-circular 2-storey bay with domed lead-
covered roof has 3 windows to each storey, all 12-pane sashes, but with deeper
panes on the lower storey, as on the front.
