Two houses, built as one. Early C17 with possible earlier core. 2 storeys
and one storey with attics. 2-cell plan. Timber-framed and plastered.
Pantiled roof, once thatched; an axial C17 chimney of red brick. Mid C20
small-pane casements and half-glazed doors. No.49 comprises an early C17
parlour block with unmoulded framing exposed. No.47 has no exposed framing,
possibly a later rebuilding of the hall and service range.
