Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber framed and plastered with a plaintiled roof. 2
storeys and attic. 2-cell front range with a further wing to rear. 2
windows, C18 small-paned casements. Central axial stack with rebuilt shaft.
Mid C20 entrance door in rear wing. Ground floor of front range has one room
with ovolo-moulded bridging beam and joists set on edge. The opposite room
and both first floor chambers have cross-beamed-ceilings, also ovolo-moulded.
In the chambers, 2 good 3-centre arched brick fireplaces and intact studding
with reversed bracing. The end section of the range to the rear comprises
part of a second wing parallel to the front range, probably of similar date.
Ground floor to rear somewhat altered, with many re-used timbers; one floor
beam is dated 1675.
