Cottage. C15 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and
plastered. Red plain tiled roofs. 2 chimney stacks to rear range, off centre
right ridge, and left external stack with 3 square attached shafts. 2 storeys.
Central gables to front and rear, rear outshot extension. Each gable with ground
and first floor 2-light small paned casements. Ground floor left return with
shutters below transom, the gable jettied with 4 brackets. Outshot porch to
right of gable, vertically boarded door. Complex plan. Inglenook fireplace
jowled storey posts, arched braces to main frame, arched braces to tie beam.
Part of the roof has collars to every rafter pair, no full access to roof at time
of resurvey. Original vertically boarded doors. Some vertically boarded walls.
Adjacent to ground floor fireplace is a solid brace to ceiling beam.
