Pair of estate cottages for Ailesbury Estate. c1860-70. Red brick
with buff brick patterning. Slate roof. Two storey, each house L
plan attached back-to-back, with door in re-entrant angle, under
open timber arched porch. Timber casement windows. Buff brick
quoins and patterning in imitation of timber framing. Steep gabled
dormers with carved bargeboards. Roof hipped with tall bonded
brick stack. Rear stack corbelled, flues rebuilt, and C20
outbuildings. Original wash-house and closets in garden.
