Hostelry, early C18. Painted brick with sarsen rear wall, tiled
roof. 2-storey, 3 bays x 3 on return to The Green. Plan
originally with central hallway and domestic quarters to rear, now
open plan. 6-panelled and fielded door in centre up 3 rounded
steps. Corniced canopy on carved brackets. Ground floor flanking
tripartite 12-pane sashes with gauged flat brick arches and
keystone. 12-pane sashes above with central blind panel over door.
Brick dentilled eaves. Side elevation with 18-pane horizontal
sliding sashes. Roof hipped at right corner, stack on left gable
and between 1st and 2nd rear bays.
