Marlborough College Gymnasium

1908. Architect CE Ponting. Chequer brick. Rusticated rubbed brick pilasters. Pitched slate roof. Two storeys. Deeply projecting wooden modillion eaves cornice. Each elevation has an open pediment in centre through which one large window with glazing bars in concave rubbed brick surround breaks upward. Lower storey incorporates parts of the former town gaol.
