The following building shall be added to the list

ST 36 NE

2/9 Gervinia Cottage


Detached house. Cl7. Rendered, brick stacks, double roman tile roof. A 2-heated
room cross-passage plan with full-width outshut under catslide roof. Two storeys,
3 windows, 2-light horizontal bar wood casements, but 3-light ground floor right.
Part-glazed C20 door off-set left from central first floor window. Plain gables
with brick stacks. To the right of the 3-light casement a projecting bread oven
with pantile roof. Back has 2 and 5-light shallow casements, plank door. Interior
retains 2 transverse deep chamfer and stop beams at ground floor, later inserted
stair, but evidence for former winder stair by ingle-nook fireplace. Roof reported
to be Cl9 replacement, when outshut may have been added, as inner wall has doorway
opposite main entry to cross passage.
