House. C15, altered C17 extended C18. Timber framed and clad with red
brick on ground floor and tile hanging on 1st floor. Plain tiled roof.
Possible aisled hall origin of 3 bays; lobby entry since C17. Two storeys,
jettied to centre and to left with hipped roof, and cross-hip to end left.
Stacks to end left and to centre right. Three tripartite wooden casements
on 1st floor and 2 on ground floor with glazing bar sash to right. Panelled
door to centre right. Single storey C18 kitchen wing to rear. Interior:
framing evidence suggests aisled or single aisled hall with jettied 2 storey
end wings, re-roofed C17 (clasped purlin) re-using smoke-blackened timber,
unaltered cross-wing roof. (See Traditional Kent Buildings No. 5 p. 10-11).
