8/121 No 49 and 50 (Hope Cottage)

Row of 2 cottages. Mid C18. Coursed flint with brick dressings,
and brick. Thatched roof. Two storeys, 4 bays, the left bay being
an addition. Entrance to No 49 in glazed gabled porch. No 50 has
boarded door. Timber casement windows with segmental arches to
lower openings. Extension rendered with boarded door in heavy
frame, and hipped roof. Stack to right gable, which has been
rebuilt in buff brickwork with flint panels. Outshut to rear.
Single storey thatched wing on rear of the left bay. Interior said
to have remains of wall decoration, not seen.
