Attached to terrace 2/26 but of earlier date. C17, considerably altered.
2 storeys. Random rubble (snail pointed) with ashlar quoins. Pantiled
roof with eaves. 3 modern casements on first floor. 1 C17 window of
3-lights divided by stone mullions on ground-floor. Modern elliptical
arch to right. This building continues to left with a 3-storey section
of lower elevation. Also random rubble. 1 original 2-light window with
stone mullion on upper floor.
No 7, Nos 9 to 19 (consec), the Chantry and Little Chantry form a group
with all the listed buildings in Church Street. The Catholic Church of
St Thomas More, Market Street and Nos 5 and 6 and 27 to 31 (consec) and
Wall at Builders Yard, Newtown.
