7/60 Overton House with front walls
and railings

Detached house. Circa 1800, altered early C20. Header bond brick
with chamfered stone quoins, Welsh slate hipped roof on deep eaves,
brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Two-storey C20 brick porch
with double-glazed doors and inner door with fanlight, 20-pane sash
with flat brick arch either side. First floor has 20-pane sash
either side of porch with tripartite plate glass sash and
balustraded parapet. Left return has 20-pane sash to ground floor
and two 16-pane sashes to first floor. Right return is in dressed
limestone, 12-pane sashes. Rear has gabled wing with 20-pane
sashes, main range has round-headed fixed and blind windows.
Interior has original joinery; 6-panelled doors in moulded
architraves, stairs with cast-iron balusters, wreathed moulded
handrail, window shutters. Front boundary consists of irregular
bond brick wall with pitched stone coping and cast-iron spearhead
railings, single central gate, rubble stone and brick wall returns
to right hand corner of house.
