House. C17. Coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings; clay tile
roof; stacks of ashlar and of engineering brick. In the local vernacular
style; 3,room plan; central hall; service bay to West and parlour bay to
East; gable end stacks to parlour and service room, and main stack at West
end of hall, backing on to a through-passage. 2 storeys; gable to best
bedroom right of centre; 3 windows; mullioned with rebated frames, chamfered
mullions and straight hood moulds; those to centre (Hall) and to right
(Parlour) are of 4 lights; that to ground floor left (Services) is of
2 lights; casement to first floor, left; doorway to left with chamfered
jambs and lintel. Interior: Hall fire-place has corbelled lintel; 2 raised
cruck trusses spring from first floor level. Colum Giles (1975).
