Blithfield Hall


Former dovecote converted to game larder and walls. Probably early C19
with addition of 1861. Brick, plastered and lined as ashlar; hipped
slate roof. Octagonal plan. 2 storeys; single cell; ground floor
circular window openings and first floor cross windows; gabled first-
floor porch dated 1861 approached by flight of steps; louvred dormer,
roof capped by a weathervane. Coped brick walls, extend for approxi-
mately 50 yards to the north-east and approximately 30 yards to the
south, the former is pierced by a 4-centred arch doorway near its
junction with the game larder.
