Smithy House and
Attached Garden Wall
GV II
House. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone
dressings. Westmorland slate roof with blue brick gable stacks.
L-plan, the rear wing much altered and not of special interest.
Two storeys. South elevation symmetrical, of three bays.
Central doorway with ashlar jambs and lintel. Bracketed stone
hood and half glazed door. Flanked by glazing bar sashes in
plain ashlar surrounds. Three similar windows above. Curving
wall to south enclosing front garden, has rounded copings.
