Gate pier on west side of main
entrance to Aynhoe Park


Gate pier. Early C18. Limestone ashlar. Panelled sides. The inner face
projects slightly and is surmounted by a scroll. Small shield with coat of
arms on side facing road. Moulded entablature with ball finial.
