GV II

House and shop. Mid C18, with earlier origins. Painted brick, slate roof, brick
end stack. 2-unit plan. 3-storey, 2-window range. Part-glazed 4-panel door to
left of centre, a canted bay window to left with 6-pane horned sash to front,
shop-window with one division to right, all under deep coved hood. Sash windows
to first and attic floors, all with gauged brick lintels. Storey band and
moulded brick eaves cornice. 2-storey wing to rear left of coursed squared
ironstone, possibly of late C17 date. Interior: open fireplace in back wing with
chamfered bressumer. Fitted cupboard with semi-domed head and shaped shelves.
Formerly a butchers shop with passage through shop to rear yard.
