Former stable block, now part of hotel. Early C19. Coursed tooled stone; green
slate roof. Ranges on 3 sides of courtyard. North range 2 storeys, 6 bays.
Centre 2 bays set forward; elliptical double-chamfered carriage arches with C20
glazing, renewed 6-pane sashes with central blind window above, coped gable with
clock. Flanking bays have renewed sashes, 12-pane to ground floor and 6-pane
above. East and west ranges each 4 bays, similar fenestration. Courtyard closed
to south by flat-coped wall with central gateway flanked by heavy square piers
with pyramidal caps; 1 boarded door to each side; mounting block inside to east
South ends of ranges have blind windows; renewed door in old opening in east
range. Rear elevations: single-storey block links east range with north range
of Linden Hall (q.v.).
