Ruined chapel. C11. Massive blocks of dressed stone. Nave, chancel and C13 south
chapel. Long, tall and narrow, still of Anglo-Saxon shape. Walls stand to c 9 feet
on north side, 5 feet on south side, but the east and west ends stand to gable
height. Remains of plain, square responds to former chancel arch. Responds of
former arch into south chapel have C13 mouldings. Small square recesses in chancel
are possibly aumbry and piscina. 2 elaborate medieval tomb slabs in south chapel
and one in nave.
