(Formerly listed as Croft Lodge House, THE RIDGE WEST, previously listed as Hollington Lodge, BATTLE ROAD)

Early C19 house.

MATERIALS: Stucco with pitched slate roof.

The front of the house faces south-east and consists of a central range and 2 wings. Behind is a parallel range of mainly C19 date.

The central front range has 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows, 2 flat-roofed dormers, eaves, bracket cornice, Venetian shutters to windows on 1st floor and casement windows with glazing bars. The wings are of one storey and one window each and have French windows. On the ground floor is a trellised iron verandah with a glass (now corrugated plastic) roof extending the whole length of the front but broken in the centre by a porch with a 6-panelled door with a modern wooden balcony over.

The east end of the rear wing is possibly C17, with one casement window visible on the 1st floor with small square leaded panes.
