C16 building of 2 storeys and attic at right angles to street; a long irregular
timber-framed block with colour-washed brick infilling and irregular windows;
6 panelled door in reveals; architrave frame; moulded cornice on brackets over;
a north gable end tile hung. Old tile roof. This is one of the medieval shopping
or trade courts. The front to street is C19 With modernIsed shop; uppermost
storey is similar to No 2 The Borough with rendered front, paired bracketed
eaves, quoins and shouldered segmental architraves. Applied post and pan timbering,
tiled canopy and transomed and mullioned windows to lst floor 3-centred arched
carriageway to right hand on ground floor.

page 2).
Nos 1 to 9 (consec) (including No 1A), and Nos 1 to 6 Town Hall Buildings (The
